  • Sept 2022 - Acquisition of Hexano Corp

We are happy to announce the successful integration of Hexano into the CPS Fluidics family. Hexano was founded in 2018 with a focus on the manufacturing and prototyping of microfluidic devices. All of Hexano’s clients have been successfully transferred over to CPS Fluidics.

With this acquisition, we welcome onboard Andre Babineau, founder of Hexano. Andre is a licensed mechanical engineer who have previously worked in plastic injection molding and plastic microfluidics design. His new role at CPS Fluidics will be as VP of Sales. Andre’s market reach and insight will allow us to increase our domestic and international sales outreach of our microfluidic and flow cell manufacturing services.

  • Sept 2022 - CPS Fluidics signs expansion deal in existing building

Since it’s inception, the founders of CPS Fluidics have had their sights set on growth and investment. Today we announce that to support this vision, we have signed a real estate expansion deal whereby CPS Fluidics will take over a new space in its existing building. This extra room is conveniently located adjacent to an existing manufacturing space. This will allow us to reconfigure our manufacturing lines to improve the material flow through the facility.

  • August 2022 - Successful addition of glass-on-glass bonding

CPS Fluidics has successfully introduced a glass-on-glass bonding process. The result is a high-strength invisible bond with high quality optical properties for your glass slides or flow cells. Our process offers industry leading cost and can bond glass from a few millimeters up to 300mm formats. This process has been validated by our customers and is currently used in production.

  • June 2022 - Addition of Roll-to-Roll Laser cutting and Laser marker

Today we announce the integration of our first roll-to-roll laser cutter. This system allows us to feed a roll of sheet material on one side, which is then fed automatically into the laser system. The cut material is then re-rolled again, ready to be sent to the assembly line.

CPS Fluidics has relied on gantry style laser cutters to fabricate the cut material used in many of the products we manufacture. The addition of this new roll-to-roll laser cutting system unlocks economies of scale for our clients.

In addition, the new laser marker enables us to etch lot numbers and QR codes on each individual components to improve traceability. The high resolution of the laser allows us to print a lot of information on very small surfaces, which we encounter often in the microfluidic space.

  • March 2021 - Formation of CPS Fluidics

We are happy to announce the formation of CPS Fluidics LLC. The company is a continuation of the Wallingford, CT operations from the IDEX Corporation, which acquired CIDRA Precision Services in 2015. The new owners ensured a seamless transition for existing customers by maintaining continuity of the staff and factory. The two new owners are David Ellis, President and Chad Carta, Chief Financial Officer.

David has been with CPS Fluidics for the past five years and manages the day-to-day operation. He also has more than 15 years of industry experience leading research and development efforts for prominent health and science organizations.

Chad has more than 15 years of experience leading healthcare M&A and healthcare product development. His successful track record for leading medical manufacturing businesses and ability to drive performance and customer growth is what led him to this position.

The owner’s vision is the continued success of our existing manufacturing lines with an eye on growth through investment in new equipment and technologies.
